Pinumu Pasaule is the wicker world of the Tutāns family. The family's weaving story began in 1985 as a shared passion and grew into a business in 1999, starting with small baskets and trays. Today the makers work with peeled and unpeeled home-grown willow, an ecologically clean material, and every step from preparing the wicker to the finished object is handmade. The workshop makes baskets, trays, cradles, furniture, lamps and custom wickerwork. Master weaver Pēteris Tutāns learned the craft as a child and has shown his work in Latvia, France, China, the United States and Japan.
