Shallow salad bowl. Thrown on the wheel from Latvian clay and fired black in an open fire at 1050 °C. The rim is gently waved, so every bowl is a little different and sits beautifully in a modern home. Safe for the microwave and oven and for moist food; hand washing keeps it lovely for longer. Diameter 25 cm, height 7 cm, 1.2 kg.

Latvijas Labumu Tirgus: Māls is not a single workshop. It is the clay section of the Brīvdabas muzeja Gadatirgus marketplace, bringing together work by independent ceramic makers from Riga, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale, and the wider Riga region. Delmara uses this profile for marketplace-sourced pieces when a separate maker profile is not yet available. The selection spans wheel-thrown and hand-built earthenware, porcelain, stoneware, glazed ceramics, and traditional black pottery. Processes vary by maker: some pieces are polished and wood-fired, some are smoked in reduction without glaze, and others are painted or finished with expressive glazes. The common thread is small-scale Latvian making, with the individual maker retained wherever the source identifies them.
