Breakfast bowls. Thrown on the wheel from Latvian clay and fired black in an open fire at 1050 °C. The inside is coated with white engobe and decorated with carved patterns. The glaze is environmentally friendly and safe. Safe for the microwave and oven and for moist food; hand washing keeps them lovely for longer. Diameter 12 cm, height 4.5 cm, 0.2 l, 0.25 kg.

Makers across Latvia
Latvijas Labumu Tirgus: Māls is not a single workshop. It is the clay section of the Brīvdabas muzeja Gadatirgus marketplace, bringing together work by independent ceramic makers from Riga, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale, and the wider Riga region. Delmara uses this profile for marketplace-sourced pieces when a separate maker profile is not yet available. The selection spans wheel-thrown and hand-built earthenware, porcelain, stoneware, glazed ceramics, and traditional black pottery. Processes vary by maker: some pieces are polished and wood-fired, some are smoked in reduction without glaze, and others are painted or finished with expressive glazes. The common thread is small-scale Latvian making, with the individual maker retained wherever the source identifies them.
